Safe Baby Training
This training is for prospective adoptive families registered with either the Ministry for Children and Family Development or one of B.C.'s Licensed Adoption Agencies. A new curriculum has been developed to specifically meet the educational needs of families considering adopting substance exposed infants.

Last session includes Infant/Child CPR Training.
Please note the one week gap between Sept 22nd and October 6th sessions.
Details:
Free parking in parking lot and along Winston Street in front of the building. We do not have an elevator and hold our workshps upstairs in our boardroom. We do, however, have some flexibiity if anyone cannot use the stairs. Please advise Jen Hillman prior to the first session. This session is for adults only, please.
Cancellation policy:
A 20% cancellation charge will be applied to fee-for-service events if done up to 2 days before the event.
Late cancellations (48 hours or less prior to the event) are non-refundable.
If AFABC cancels a session, a full refund will apply.

Adoptive Families Association of BC
AFABC is a non-profit organization that provides province-wide support services and information to people who are beginning to think about adoption, people who have decided to adopt, and those who have already had a child or children join their family. AFABC also plays a significant role in promoting awareness and recruiting families for the close to 1000 children waiting in foster care for an adoptive family.
AFABC was started around a kitchen table in 1977 by a small group of adoptive parents who needed to share ideas, information, and support.
